Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead experimental validation of quantum circuits on superconducting and trapped-ion platforms
- Develop error correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum computation
- Collaborate with AI/ML teams to hybrid quantum-classical frameworks
- Publish peer-reviewed research in top-tier journals and present at international conferences
- Secure $2M+ in annual research funding through NSF and DoE grants
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum computing frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Published research in quantum information science or quantum algorithms
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and low-level quantum hardware interfacing
- Experience with cloud quantum platforms (IBM Quantum, Amazon Braket)
- Strong background in linear algebra and complex analysis
- Track record of securing research grants or patents
