Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms leveraging superposition and entanglement principles
- Develop error-correction protocols to achieve fault-tolerant quantum computing
- Lead cross-functional teams integrating quantum solutions with classical systems
- Secure $1M+ in research grants through NSF and DARPA proposals
- Publish 3+ high-impact papers annually in top-tier journals
- Prototype quantum machine learning models for real-world applications
- Mentor PhD candidates and lead quantum computing bootcamps
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or Applied Mathematics
- 5+ years of quantum computing research with published papers in Nature/Science
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or quantum circuit optimization frameworks
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and quantum assembly languages
- Demonstrated experience with quantum hardware (IBM, Rigetti, or IonQ)
- Strong background in quantum information theory and topological quantum computing
- Track record of securing federal research grants (> $500K)
