Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation
- Develop novel quantum error correction techniques for scalable systems
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping quantum hardware interfaces
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals and conferences
- Secure government and private research grants
- Mentor junior researchers and PhD candidates
- Collaborate with industry partners to commercialize quantum solutions
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum computing research experience
- Expertise in quantum algorithms and circuit design
- Proficiency with quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq)
- Strong publication record in quantum computing or physics
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM, Rigetti, IonQ)
- Ability to secure research funding (NSF, DARPA, etc.)
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
