Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, simulation, and machine learning applications
- Lead cross-functional teams to prototype quantum hardware-software interfaces
- Develop error mitigation techniques for near-term quantum processors
- Publish groundbreaking research in Nature/Science journals and major conferences
- Secure $5M+ in government and industry research grants
- Advise product teams on quantum-resistant cryptography implementations
- Mentor PhD interns in quantum computing fundamentals
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science with 3+ years of postdoctoral research
- Published work in top-tier quantum computing journals (e.g., PRX Quantum)
- Proficiency in quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Experience with superconducting or photonic quantum systems
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault-tolerance
- Strong Python/C++ programming and high-performance computing skills
- Track record of securing competitive research funding
