Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Lead hardware-software integration projects with superconducting qubit systems
- Publish groundbreaking research in Nature Physics and IEEE journals
- Mentor PhD candidates and junior researchers in quantum error correction techniques
- Collaborate with defense contractors to develop quantum-secure communication protocols
- Secure $2M+ in annual research grants from DARPA and NSF
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of hands-on quantum computing research with published papers in top-tier journals
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or similar quantum programming frameworks
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and quantum circuit optimization
- Demonstrated experience with cryogenic quantum systems and RF engineering
- Strong track record of securing government or corporate research funding
