Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for real-world applications
- Optimize quantum circuit performance on superconducting and photonic platforms
- Lead cross-functional R&D teams in prototyping quantum hardware-software interfaces
- Publish peer-reviewed research in top-tier journals and conferences
- Secure federal and private funding for quantum computing initiatives
- Develop quantum error correction methodologies for fault-tolerant systems
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to patent portfolios
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum programming (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Published research in quantum algorithms or hardware optimization
- Proficiency with Python, C++, and low-level quantum control systems
- Demonstrated experience with quantum annealing and gate-based models
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum mechanics
- US citizenship or permanent residency required for government contracts
