Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for practical industrial applications
- Lead quantum hardware optimization projects targeting error correction and qubit stability
- Collaborate with AI teams to develop quantum-machine learning hybrid models
- Publish groundbreaking research in peer-reviewed journals and industry conferences
- Secure $2M+ in annual research grants through NSF and DARPA proposals
- Mentor PhD researchers and drive technical strategy for quantum roadmap 2026-2030
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years research experience
- Published work in Nature/Science journals or equivalent top-tier publications
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit) and error correction protocols
- Proven track record of translating theoretical concepts into experimental prototypes
- Strong background in superconducting systems or photonic quantum computing
- Experience with high-performance computing clusters and HPC optimization
- Ability to secure federal research funding and manage multi-year projects
