Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, simulation, and machine learning applications
- Conduct advanced research in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant computing systems
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to develop hybrid quantum-classical computing architectures
- Publish breakthrough research in leading scientific journals and present at international conferences
- Lead cross-functional teams in translating theoretical concepts into practical quantum solutions
- Develop patentable quantum computing methodologies with commercialization potential
- Stay ahead of emerging quantum threats and develop cryptographic countermeasures
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years research experience
- Expertise in quantum circuit design and quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Proven track record of publishing in Nature/Science or equivalent tier journals
- Deep understanding of quantum mechanics principles and quantum information theory
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM Q, Rigetti, IonQ, or similar)
- Strong background in complex mathematical modeling and high-performance computing
- Exceptional problem-solving skills with demonstrated ability to tackle unsolved challenges
