Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for error correction and qubit stabilization
- Conduct experimental trials using superconducting qubit systems and photonic processors
- Lead cross-functional teams of physicists, engineers, and software developers
- Publish breakthrough research in Nature Physics and IEEE journals
- Secure $5M+ in government grants for quantum supremacy projects
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information theory
- Develop patentable quantum encryption protocols for financial applications
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum circuit simulation (Qiskit, Cirq)
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing conferences
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and low-level hardware programming
- Deep understanding of quantum entanglement and decoherence principles
- Experience with cryogenic engineering and microwave control systems
- Track record of securing DOE or NSF research grants
