Job Description
We are seeking a visionary Senior 2D Web Interaction Specialist to join our award-winning creative team in San Francisco. You will be responsible for crafting high-performance, visually stunning 2D animations and interactive elements that define the user experience of our flagship products.
In this role, you will bridge the gap between design and engineering, pushing the boundaries of what is possible within the browser. You will work closely with UX/UI designers and product managers to translate creative concepts into fluid, responsive, and accessible code. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement complex, high-performance 2D animations using HTML5 Canvas, SVG, and WebGL.
- Optimize animation rendering loops (requestAnimationFrame) for 60fps performance across all devices.
- Collaborate closely with UX/UI designers to translate static mockups into dynamic, interactive experiences.
- Ensure all interactive elements are accessible, responsive, and adhere to WCAG guidelines.
- Maintain and refactor existing codebases to improve scalability and maintainability.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest front-end technologies and animation libraries.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional experience in front-end development with a specific focus on 2D graphics and animation.
- Proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+), modern CSS frameworks (e.g., Tailwind, React), and HTML5.
- Strong understanding of the HTML5 Canvas API and the
requestAnimationFramelifecycle. - Experience with animation libraries such as GSAP, Anime.js, or PixiJS.
- A solid portfolio demonstrating complex 2D motion design and interactive web projects.
