Responsibilities
- Lead Cloud Infrastructure Strategy: Define and execute the architectural vision for the Games' technology stack using AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Ensure High Availability: Design fault-tolerant systems capable of handling peak loads during opening ceremonies and medal events.
- Security & Compliance: Implement robust cybersecurity measures and ensure full compliance with international data protection standards.
- Legacy Integration: Seamlessly integrate legacy systems with modern cloud-native applications.
- Team Leadership: Mentor a team of cloud engineers and DevOps specialists, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
- Vendor Management: Evaluate and manage relationships with third-party technology providers.
- Cost Optimization: Architect solutions that balance performance with fiscal responsibility.
Qualifications
- Experience: 10+ years of experience in enterprise cloud architecture, with at least 5 years in large-scale event or high-traffic environments.
- Technical Skills: Deep expertise in AWS, Azure, or GCP; proficiency in Kubernetes, Docker, and Terraform.
- Programming: Strong scripting skills in Python or Go.
- Certifications: Professional certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect Professional or Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for diverse stakeholders.
- Project Management: PMP or similar certification is highly preferred.
- Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with shifting priorities.
