Responsibilities
- Design and implement advanced ML models to predict policy outcomes and optimize public service delivery
- Analyze large-scale datasets from federal sources using Python, SQL, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure)
- Translate complex findings into actionable insights for C-suite stakeholders and government partners
- Lead end-to-end data science projects from research to deployment and monitoring
- Mentor junior analysts and develop best practices for data governance and ethics
- Present findings to cross-functional teams and external stakeholders through compelling visualizations
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in data science with 3+ years in government or regulated industries
- Expert proficiency in Python, scikit-learn, TensorFlow, and cloud ML services
- Strong statistical modeling skills and experimental design methodology
- Experience with large-scale data processing (Spark, Hadoop) and SQL databases
- Clearance eligibility or active security clearance required
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to simplify complex concepts
