Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable full-stack applications using React, Node.js, and AWS
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact solutions for local clients
- Optimize application performance and security protocols
- Mentor junior developers through code reviews and knowledge sharing
- Implement CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices
- Analyze user requirements and translate them into technical specifications
- Contribute to open-source projects that benefit the Illinois tech community
Qualifications
- 5+ years of full-stack development experience with React and Node.js
- Proficiency in AWS services (EC2, Lambda, S3)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
- Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB)
- Portfolio demonstrating 3+ production-level applications
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work in a hybrid environment with 2 days/week in Chicago office
