Responsibilities
- Conduct horizon scanning to identify emerging technologies, societal shifts, and disruptive forces impacting 2026 market landscapes
- Develop and execute innovation roadmaps aligned with organizational vision and 5-year strategic goals
- Lead cross-functional teams in translating future insights into actionable product development and business strategies
- Present trend analysis and scenario planning to executive stakeholders and board members
- Build and maintain strategic partnerships with academic institutions, startups, and industry thought leaders
- Establish KPIs for innovation initiatives and measure ROI against future-readiness benchmarks
- Mentor junior strategists and cultivate an organization-wide culture of future-focused thinking
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Futuristics, Strategic Innovation, Technology, or related field; Master's or PhD preferred
- 10+ years in strategic planning, innovation management, or futurist consulting with Fortune 500 experience
- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful 5+ year innovation frameworks
- Expertise in trend analysis, scenario planning, and horizon scanning methodologies
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to articulate complex future concepts to diverse audiences
- Deep understanding of exponential technologies (AI, biotech, quantum computing) and their societal implications
- Portfolio demonstrating published foresight work or successful innovation initiatives
