Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning for emerging technologies (quantum computing, neuromorphic chips, Web4.0) and assess commercial viability for 2026-2030
- Develop and maintain the company's technology innovation roadmap with quarterly strategic refresh cycles
- Architect prototype systems using next-gen frameworks (e.g., decentralized AI, holographic interfaces)
- Present future technology scenarios to C-suite and external stakeholders through data-driven storytelling
- Manage a $5M innovation portfolio with ROI tracking for experimental projects
- Partner with academic institutions to establish research partnerships in frontier technologies
- Produce monthly 'Future Briefs' analyzing disruptive forces affecting our industry
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy with 5+ years in emerging tech or futurism roles
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Futures Studies, or equivalent experience
- Proven track record launching at least two commercially successful future-facing technologies
- Expertise in scenario planning, technology adoption curves, and disruptive innovation frameworks
- Proficiency in prototyping tools (Unity, Unreal, WebXR) and blockchain development
- Exceptional communication skills with experience presenting to executive audiences
- Published thought leadership in technology foresight (white papers, patents, or keynotes)
- Deep knowledge of ethical implications in emerging technologies (AI governance, biotech ethics)
