Responsibilities
- Lead design and implementation of advanced manufacturing processes and automation systems
- Optimize production workflows to improve efficiency and reduce operational costs by 15%+
- Develop and maintain quality control systems ensuring ISO 9001 compliance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on new product introduction (NPI) initiatives
- Conduct root cause analysis for production issues and implement corrective actions
- Manage capital equipment projects from conception through installation and validation
- Mentor junior engineers and technical staff
- Stay current with industry innovations and emerging manufacturing technologies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering required
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering or related field
- Proven expertise with CAD/CAM software (SolidWorks preferred)
- Strong analytical skills with experience in process optimization and Six Sigma methodologies
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement systems
- Experience with PLC programming and industrial automation systems
- Excellent project management skills with ability to lead complex initiatives
- Certification in Six Sigma Green Belt or higher preferred
