Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation challenges
- Lead cross-functional teams to translate theoretical quantum models into scalable solutions
- Develop error mitigation protocols for near-term quantum hardware limitations
- Conduct performance benchmarking against classical supercomputing standards
- Author peer-reviewed publications and contribute to open-source quantum frameworks
- Mentor junior engineers in quantum programming paradigms and best practices
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum-optimized architectures
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Computer Science, or Physics with 5+ years industry experience
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#) and simulation frameworks
- Published research in quantum algorithms or error correction methodologies
- Proven track record of optimizing quantum circuits for real-world applications
- Deep understanding of NISQ-era constraints and fault-tolerant computing principles
- Experience with cloud quantum platforms (IBM Quantum, AWS Braket, Azure Quantum)
- Strong background in high-performance computing and parallel processing
