Responsibilities
- Infrastructure Management: Design, implement, and maintain on-premise and cloud-based server environments to ensure 99.9% system uptime and reliability.
- Security & Compliance: Enforce robust security protocols, manage firewalls, and perform regular vulnerability assessments to protect sensitive corporate data.
- System Optimization: Monitor system performance metrics, proactively troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and optimize resources to minimize downtime.
- Automation & Scripting: Develop and maintain scripts (Bash, Python, PowerShell) to automate routine administrative tasks and improve operational efficiency.
- Team Collaboration: Mentor junior administrators and collaborate closely with cross-functional departments to align IT solutions with business goals.
- Disaster Recovery: Oversee disaster recovery planning and execute regular data backups to safeguard business continuity.
Qualifications
- Experience: 5+ years of professional experience in systems administration, preferably within a hybrid or cloud environment.
- Certifications: CompTIA Security+, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator.
- Technical Proficiency: Deep understanding of Linux (Red Hat, Ubuntu) and Windows Server environments.
- Scripting Skills: Strong knowledge of Python or PowerShell for automation and scripting.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate technical jargon for non-technical stakeholders.
