Responsibilities
- Architectural Leadership: Design and implement a scalable, fault-tolerant infrastructure strategy for the 2026 World Cup ecosystem.
- Cloud Management: Oversee the optimization and management of cloud resources on AWS, ensuring cost-efficiency and security compliance.
- System Reliability: Implement CI/CD pipelines and automated testing to guarantee high availability and rapid deployment cycles.
- Team Mentorship: Guide junior architects and engineers, conducting code reviews and technical architecture discussions.
- Security & Compliance: Enforce rigorous security protocols, including IAM policies and data encryption standards, to protect sensitive athlete and fan data.
- Performance Optimization: Analyze system bottlenecks and optimize database queries and application performance to handle peak traffic loads.
Qualifications
- Experience: 8+ years of experience in Systems Architecture, DevOps, or Site Reliability Engineering.
- Cloud Expertise: Deep proficiency in AWS (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS) or Azure.
- Containerization: Strong experience with Kubernetes and Docker orchestration.
- Infrastructure as Code: Expert knowledge of Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Programming: Proficiency in Python, Go, or Bash scripting.
- Networking: Advanced understanding of TCP/IP, VPNs, load balancers, and DNS.
- Event Experience: Previous experience working on large-scale, high-traffic events or global digital platforms is a major plus.
