Responsibilities

- Lead horizon scanning initiatives to identify emerging paradigms with 5+ year impact potential
- Chair the Ethics & Governance Council for AI/quantum deployments
- Develop patent strategies for breakthrough technologies (target: 15+ filings/year)
- Partner with Stanford/MIT research labs on joint innovation projects
- Present future scenarios to C-suite and board members quarterly
- Mentor a team of 12 futurists and innovation specialists
Qualifications
- PhD or equivalent in Systems Thinking, Futures Studies, or Computational Science
- 10+ years in strategic innovation with Fortune 500 or unicorn startups
- Published research in quantum computing or AI ethics (3+ peer-reviewed papers)
- Portfolio demonstrating 5+ successful future-casting initiatives
- Expertise in scenario planning using Delphi and horizon scanning methodologies
- Proficiency in Python for trend analysis and predictive modeling
- Security clearance for classified tech partnerships (DOD/DARPA experience preferred)
