Responsibilities
- Develop 5-year strategic technology roadmaps integrating quantum computing, AGI, and biotech convergence
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping solutions for 2026's biggest challenges: climate resilience, neural interfaces, and autonomous systems
- Partner with Stanford/MIT research labs to commercialize breakthrough innovations
- Present quarterly futures briefings to C-suite and board of directors
- Mentor junior futurists in ethical foresight methodologies
- Secure $5M+ annual R&D budget for high-impact projects
Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Physics, or Futurist Studies (or equivalent experience)
- 10+ years in technology R&D with 3+ years in strategic foresight
- Published peer-reviewed research in quantum machine learning or climate modeling
- Proven track record of launching products with 5+ year impact horizons
- Expertise in scenario planning and trend analysis frameworks
- Fluency in Python, TensorFlow, and quantum computing APIs
- Security clearance or ability to obtain one
