Apex Digital Systems is on a mission to define the digital standard for 2026. We are seeking a world-class Senior 2D Interactive Developer to lead our creative engineering team. In this role, you will transform static designs into fluid, high-performance interactive experiences using cutting-edge web technologies.
As we scale towards our 2026 goals, we need a technical expert who excels at the intersection of design and code. You will own the development of our core 2D graphics engine, ensuring pixel-perfect rendering and lightning-fast performance across all platforms.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development of high-fidelity 2D interactive graphics using HTML5 Canvas, SVG, and WebGL.
- Optimize rendering performance to achieve 60fps animations and seamless interactions on mobile and desktop.
- Collaborate with UX/UI designers to translate the 2026 product vision into technical specifications.
- Implement complex animation sequences using JavaScript libraries such as GSAP or Anime.js.
- Maintain and refactor legacy codebases to ensure scalability and long-term stability.
- Conduct rigorous code reviews and provide mentorship to junior developers.
- Stay ahead of industry trends in 2D graphics and browser performance.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of professional experience in front-end development with a focus on 2D graphics.
- Expert proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and modern CSS3.
- Strong command of the HTML5 Canvas API, SVG manipulation, and WebGL.
- Demonstrated experience with performance profiling and optimization tools (Chrome DevTools).
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline.
- Proven track record of shipping complex, animation-heavy web applications.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, remote-first environment.
