Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum AI algorithms for optimization and machine learning
- Lead cross-functional teams of quantum physicists, ML engineers, and domain experts
- Develop fault-tolerant quantum computing protocols for 2026-era applications
- Secure $5M+ in research grants from NSF, DARPA, and industry consortiums
- Establish ethical frameworks for quantum AI deployment in critical infrastructure
- Pioneer quantum-resistant cybersecurity solutions for 2026 threat landscape
- Mentor PhD researchers and publish 3+ top-tier papers annually
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, AI, or Computational Physics with 5+ years industry R&D
- Expertise in quantum machine learning frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, PennyLane)
- Published research in Nature/Science on quantum algorithms or AI
- Proficiency in Python, TensorFlow/PyTorch, and low-level quantum programming
- Experience with superconducting/qubit hardware (IBM, Rigetti, IonQ)
- Track record of securing $2M+ in government/industry research funding
- Deep understanding of NISQ-era limitations and fault-tolerant roadmaps
