Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning and trend analysis for emerging technologies (quantum computing, advanced AI, biotech convergence)
- Develop 3-5 year technology roadmaps with clear implementation milestones and ROI projections
- Collaborate with R&D teams to prototype and validate breakthrough solutions
- Present strategic recommendations to executive stakeholders and board members
- Manage a portfolio of innovation projects with $5M+ annual budgets
- Establish partnerships with academic institutions and technology pioneers
- Drive organizational adoption of emerging technologies through change management programs
Qualifications
- 15+ years in technology strategy, product development, or innovation leadership
- Proven track record of launching market-defining products/services
- Deep expertise in at least three emerging technology domains (AI, blockchain, quantum, etc.)
- Experience developing multi-year technology roadmaps for Fortune 500 companies
- Strong financial modeling skills for innovation portfolio management
- PhD or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Certification in technology foresight or innovation management preferred
- Presentation skills for executive audiences with complex technical concepts
