Responsibilities
- Develop 3-5 year technology roadmaps aligned with market evolution and societal trends
- Identify and evaluate emerging technologies with disruptive potential (quantum, AGI, neural interfaces)
- Lead cross-functional teams to prototype and validate future-use-case scenarios
- Forge strategic partnerships with academic institutions and government innovation labs
- Present visionary frameworks to investors and board members with data-driven impact projections
- Establish ethical governance frameworks for next-gen AI and biotech applications
- Author thought leadership publications on technology's role in solving 2030 challenges
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy or R&D leadership with proven future-vision execution
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (quantum/AI/biotech/neurotech)
- Published research or patents in forward-looking technology applications
- Experience with scenario planning and technology forecasting methodologies
- Strong network within DARPA, NSF, or equivalent innovation ecosystems
- PhD or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futurology preferred
- Portfolio demonstrating 3+ successful technology commercialization cycles
- Exceptional communication skills translating complex concepts to diverse audiences
