Responsibilities
- Develop 3-5 year technology roadmaps aligned with market evolution and regulatory landscapes
- Lead R&D initiatives in quantum algorithms, decentralized AI systems, and climate-tech solutions
- Collaborate with VPs of Engineering and Product to prioritize emerging tech investments
- Present strategic briefings to C-suite and board members on paradigm-shifting technologies
- Build partnerships with academic institutions and industry consortia for 2026 tech standards
- Conduct horizon scanning for disruptive technologies and competitive threats
- Drive innovation workshops using design thinking and scenario planning methodologies
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy with 5+ in emerging tech domains
- Expertise in at least two of: quantum computing, generative AI, or climate-tech
- Proven track record of launching products with $50M+ market impact
- PhD or Master's in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Published research in IEEE Nature or equivalent tier journals
- Experience with global regulatory frameworks (GDPR, CCPA, etc.)
- Fluency in technology forecasting methodologies (Delphi, S-curve analysis)
- Strong background in ethical AI development and responsible innovation
