Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain network infrastructure, servers, and workstations to ensure 99.9% uptime during night operations.
- Perform nightly security patches, system updates, and vulnerability assessments to protect corporate assets.
- Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues with minimal supervision, escalating only when necessary.
- Generate nightly performance reports and logs for review by the senior management team.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls for the night shift workforce.
- Collaborate with the day shift team via secure communication channels to ensure seamless workflow continuity.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience as a System Administrator or Network Support Specialist.
- Mandatory: Must be available to work a rotating night shift schedule (e.g., 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM).
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and firewall configurations.
- Experience with Linux, Windows Server, and virtualization technologies (VMware/Hyper-V).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Relevant certifications (CCNA, CompTIA Linux+, Security+) are highly preferred.
