Responsibilities
- Lead quantum algorithm development for real-world applications targeting 2026 deployment
- Manage a cross-disciplinary team of physicists, engineers, and data scientists
- Drive quantum hardware integration with classical computing systems
- Secure federal and private funding through DARPA and NSF grant proposals
- Publish breakthrough research in Nature/Science journals
- Develop commercialization pathways for quantum solutions
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 5+ years quantum computing research with published superconducting/qubit work
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or similar quantum programming frameworks
- Proven track record of securing >$5M in research funding
- Experience mentoring postdoctoral researchers
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction techniques
- Clearance for federal research projects (or ability to obtain)
