Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for machine learning optimization
- Lead experimental validation of qubit coherence protocols at sub-Kelvin temperatures
- Develop error-correction frameworks for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to integrate quantum processors with classical architectures
- Publish peer-reviewed research in top-tier journals and present at IEEE/APS conferences
- Secure $2M+ in annual research funding through NSF and DARPA proposals
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information theory
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Published research in Nature/Science or equivalent journals
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or quantum assembly languages
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction codes (surface, LDPC)
- Experience with cryogenic quantum hardware systems
