Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop error-correction protocols to extend quantum coherence times beyond 2026 targets
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum processors with 100+ qubit stability
- Lead open-source quantum software initiatives and publish in top-tier journals
- Mentor junior researchers and establish cross-functional partnerships with academic institutions
- Secure $5M+ in research grants for quantum computing initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum algorithm development
- Proficiency in quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Published research in quantum error correction or fault tolerance
- Demonstrated success securing competitive research grants
- Expertise in high-performance computing and parallel architectures
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability, and information theory
