Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for practical applications in logistics optimization and drug discovery
- Lead research on quantum error correction techniques to achieve fault-tolerant computing
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to prototype quantum processors at room temperature
- Publish findings in top-tier journals (Nature, Science) and present at conferences like IEEE Quantum Week
- Mentor junior researchers and develop quantum computing curriculum for internal training
- Secure research grants from DARPA, NSF, and industry partners
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field with quantum computing specialization
- 3+ years of experience with quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq) and simulators
- Publication record in quantum information theory or quantum hardware
- Expertise in superconducting qubit systems or topological quantum computing
- Strong background in linear algebra, group theory, and complex analysis
- Experience with high-performance computing environments (HPC)
- Ability to translate theoretical concepts into experimental prototypes
