Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead research in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize quantum-classical interfaces
- Publish findings in Nature/Science and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Mentor postdoctoral researchers and drive cross-functional innovation
- Secure $2M+ in DOE/NIST quantum research grants
- Develop quantum machine learning frameworks for industrial applications
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computational Mathematics
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or Q# with 50+ quantum circuits deployed
- Publication record in top-tier quantum journals (Nature/Science/PRX)
- Deep understanding of quantum decoherence and topological qubits
- Proficiency in Python/C++ with quantum simulation libraries
- Experience securing federal quantum research funding
