Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications.
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to bridge quantum software-hardware interfaces and error mitigation strategies.
- Lead research initiatives in quantum supremacy experiments and fault-tolerant quantum systems.
- Publish peer-reviewed papers and present findings at top-tier conferences (QIP, APS March Meeting).
- Develop quantum software frameworks compatible with major platforms (IBM Q, Rigetti, IonQ).
- Mentor junior researchers and drive cross-functional innovation with AI/ML teams.
- Secure competitive research grants and patents for quantum breakthroughs.
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering with quantum computing focus.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq).
- Deep understanding of quantum information theory, quantum error correction, and NISQ-era limitations.
- Publication record in quantum computing or related fields (arXiv, Nature/Science journals).
- Proficiency in high-performance computing environments and parallel programming.
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and computational complexity.
- Experience with quantum hardware simulation tools (Qiskit Aer, Quil).
