We're seeking a visionary strategist to decode emerging trends, develop long-range scenarios, and guide our organization's adaptation to tomorrow's technological and societal shifts. This role requires exceptional analytical prowess combined with creative foresight to transform uncertainty into strategic advantage.
As part of our forward-looking Innovation Lab, you'll collaborate with C-suite executives and R&D teams to map disruptive technologies, anticipate market disruptions, and design resilient business models. Your insights will directly influence product roadmaps, investment decisions, and organizational transformation initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Analyze global megatrends (AI, biotech, climate tech) to identify high-impact opportunities for 2026-2030
- Develop scenario-planning frameworks for geopolitical and technological disruptions
- Lead cross-functional workshops to translate foresight into actionable strategies
- Produce quarterly trend briefings and horizon-scanning reports for executive stakeholders
- Design and maintain innovation metrics for emerging technology adoption curves
- Partner with product teams to embed future-readiness into roadmaps
- Represent Horizon Dynamics at industry foresight conferences and thought leadership events
Qualifications
- 7+ years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or future studies
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Systems Thinking, or related field
- Proven experience with scenario planning and trend analysis methodologies
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (quantum computing, synthetic biology, etc.)
- Exceptional communication skills for translating complex concepts to diverse audiences
- Published thought leadership in futurism or strategic foresight
- Proficiency in foresight tools (e.g., Horizon Scanning, Delphi Method)
- Portfolio demonstrating scenario planning and trend forecasting projects
