Responsibilities
- Greet and assist customers with a friendly, professional demeanor upon arrival and during their shopping experience.
- Answer incoming phone calls and inquiries regarding product availability, hours, and services.
- Process sales transactions accurately using the POS system, ensuring all discounts and coupons are applied correctly.
- Handle customer returns and exchanges efficiently while adhering to company policy.
- Keep the sales floor organized, tidy, and fully stocked to ensure a pleasant shopping environment.
- Collaborate with team members to resolve customer complaints and ensure high satisfaction levels.
- Monitor inventory levels and report stock discrepancies to the store manager promptly.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Previous customer service or retail experience is preferred but not mandatory.
- Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday).
- Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with diverse populations.
- Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction processing.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs regularly.
- Proficiency with point-of-sale (POS) systems and computer technology.
